Therapy Consultations and Fees
A free, 15 minute initial phone consultation is offered prior to booking a paid initial consultation session. Therapy itself commences during the first planned session after the Initial Consultation appointment.
The Initial Consultation is charged at a set fee and each consultation thereafter at a rate pertaining to the concern. When relevant, a course may be block booked and paid in advance or a valid coupon applied. Fees are agreed at the initial consultation. Fees are payable in advance, at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Payment can be made on a pay as you go basis 24 hours prior to the appointment time (PAYG) or by a discounted block booking, using Sumup payment link and card payment in person.
During the initial consultation you are invited to share your current situation and your best hopes for the outcome of our sessions together. Information is collected to inform and assist your treatment. The way your brain works will then be explained and the way we work will be explained to you. A plan of therapy and estimated duration of therapy suited to the client needs is designed by the therapist in collaboration with the client and according to the client’s desired outcome. Each of us is unique, therefore treatment is intended to be relevant and appropriate to the individual client and the desired outcome. The decision to continue lies entirely with the client. Session costs to be incurred are outlined and agreed at the Initial consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Your session with Mind Your Head Hypnotherapy is important to us and reserved especially for you. When you forget or cancel the appointment without giving us notice, we are unable to offer that time to someone else. We understand that things can happen at the last minute and can assure you we are sympathetic in certain circumstances.
Please note, however, the following cancellation fees: 24 hours notice is required for any appointment changes including cancellation and non-attendance. Any changes made within the 24 notice period will result in the session charged at the full session rate.
If you wish to change, postpone or cancel an appointment, 24 hours notice must be given. Failure to do so will result in full payment of the missed appointment ( this applies to PAYG payments and block booking payments). Please contact Jane Cashmore by WhatsApp message 07971537409 to make your cancellation. This minimum 24 period of cancellation is non-negotiable.
If you wish to discontinue your course of therapy, you do not have to give a reason. There can be external circumstances that make attendance difficult, but it is helpful if you can discuss these changes, so that when you wish to resume therapy, these changes can be taken into account.
Following your last appointment, your rights of confidentiality are permanent. Client records must be kept for a period of time according to legal requirement. They are destroyed after 10 years according to best practice guidelines.
Refund of payment fees
Any full payment fees and payments (treatment fees paid for another person) expire 6 months after the date of payment. Please ensure that the fees are used for treatment within this period.
Refund requests should be made by email within the 6 month period following payment. Please submit a refund request by email to janie@mindyourheadhypnotherapy.co.uk, including your bank transfer details within 6 months of payment.
Consultation fee changes
Consultation fees are subject to reviews on an annual basis from 1st January. Notice will always be given of any price increases when you are in a course of therapy.

Please be available for booked therapy sessions as punctually as possible. If you are running late or anticipate running late for your appointment, please contact us at your earliest convenience and leave a message, or send a WhatsApp message to the mobile phone 0791537409. Whilst Jane Cashmore will aim to accommodate “lost time”, please understand that the booking schedule may not always make this possible. Therefore in the event of lateness, the expectation is that the session is likely to be shorter in duration, and will finish at the original finishing time with no reduction of fees.

Medical Conditions
Information gathering is conducted at the start of the Initial Consultation. Some of the questions relate to medical health in order to establish a true picture and any contra-indications to treatment, to get a good overview and to assess whether your health is affecting (or being affected by) the therapeutic goals you wish to achieve. Please update Jane Cashmore of any medical changes during your course of therapy, or if you are returning to therapy after a period of absence.
It is your responsibility to consult with a GP or other Medical Consultant prior to undertaking a treatment, should you feel your medical history requires it. A full consultation is taken before any treatment is offered and we would ask you to please provide as much information as possible during the medical consultation to enable us to devise a safe and suitable treatment plan. Please provide as much information as possible to ensure we can offer you a safe experience.
If we feel that the treatment you require is outside our scope of practice, then we will not proceed with treatment and will try to advise of an alternative. It is then your responsibility to follow up on these recommendations.

I reserve the right to end the session/ refuse any future sessions if these terms and conditions aren’t met.
Alcohol/Drugs
Don’t be offended, if you turn up under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs and I refuse to treat you. Hypnotherapy simply won’t work and you would not get the results you need. In this event the lost session payment is still payable in full.
Cures
A well-motivated client is very likely to achieve realistic goals. It is true that the more you engage the closer to achieving your goals you are likely to be. However, it is unethical to guarantee a cure and a person will do well to avoid a practice that makes such claims. The control of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours always reside within the client. Hypnotherapy is not mind control and the client cannot be “made” to do anything against their will using hypnosis.
Jane Cashmore guarantees to apply her training, expertise and experience to your issues with the aim of achieving agreed goals in as reasonable time as possible, with your well-being as a priority. When planning therapy, estimates of the number of sessions required to treat a condition during the first consultation, are given on the basis of the information presented at that time. Each patient and the causes of their condition are unique. Estimates are only rough guidelines, are subject to change and open to review by both parties throughout treatment.
